Job Description:**


**General Responsibilities**


Responsible for coordinating the accurate and timely collections for our National Client Program in an engineering consulting firm.


**Essential Role and Responsibilities:**


+ Acting as the lead coordinator with limited supervision, performs and manages collection activity and persistent follow-ups on assigned portfolios of accounts receivable invoices.

+ Carry out all functions necessary to bring about the prompt resolution of a problem, and/or facilitate payment of a past due invoice.

+ Recommend which accounts should be escalated for legal or outside agency collections. Prepare documentation for litigation or outside agency collection activity.

+ Participate in meetings with department, office, and project managers as well as National Account Managers for collection updates and other issues.

+ Provide proactive recommendations to Office managers, Division managers and National Account Managers about future collection activity (including whether or not to escalate items to Legal, outside agencies, or demand letters).

+ Provide updates and manages collection efforts of local Office Collection Coordinators to assist w the timely resolution of payment with use of collections software, meetings, reporting, etc.

+ Work w National Account Manager to create efficient collection workflows

+ Educate local offices of client procedures and internal processes through the use of Terracon's Intranet and/or having "teach-ins" for relevant parties

+ Assist in the training of office staff and with training of new acquisitions.

+ Perform special projects as needed.

+ Organize and set agenda for phone conferences and meetings regarding collection issues with office and executive staff.

+ May serve in a backup capacity during the absence of the supervisor.

+ Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.

+ Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.


**Requirements:**


+ High School diploma or equivalent

+ Minimum 5 years' related experience.

+ Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.


**Preferences:**


+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

+ Strong Microsoft Excel Skills

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Sales and/or Customer Service Experience

+ Proven ability to influence teams without formal authority

+ Self-motivating and results-driven
